Dr. Laavanya Kathiravelu

Laavanya Kathiravelu ist Postdoktorandin am Max-Planck-Institut zur Erforschung multireligiöser und multiethnischer Gesellschaften. Während ihrer Zeit am MPI wird sie zu Fragen von Migration und Superdiversity in Singapur arbeiten. In ihrer bisherigen Arbeit erforschte sie Arbeitsmigration und Stadtentwicklung im Emirat Dubai. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen Ethnographien des Alltags, der Diaspora, der Migration und globaler Städte des Südens. Sie hat an den Universitäten Sydney, Singapur und Dubai unterrichtet
