Inmaculada Barroso Benítez

Inmaculada Barroso Benítez is a Spanish sociologist at the University of Jaén in Southern Spain. Since writing her doctoral thesis on gender, family and gambling addiction, she has developed her interests in family sociology, the social context of youth and the sociology of migration. Inmaculada is also active in both teaching and research in the areas of methodology, tourism, and sport. She is a leading member in the Andalucia Research Group on “Social problems, Ethnicity and Criminology” and the Andaluz Sociological Association and has spent time as a visiting researcher at the University of Essex (England). Inmaculada contributed to the Spanish pilot-study ‘super-diversity and pathways to health care’.
