Dr. Johanna M. Lukate

Vita

Johanna M. Lukate leitet seit Juni 2023 die Minerva Fast Track Forschungsgruppe „Migration, Identity and Blackness in Europe.“ Ihre Forschung beschäftigt sich mit sozialen Identitäten und sozialen Kategorisierungsprozessen, Migration, Verkörperung und Fragen der Zugehörigkeit. Zurzeit führt sie eine interviewbasierte Studie zu afrikanischen Migrationsbiografien und Identitäten in Deutschland durch.

Johanna promovierte im Fach Psychologie an der University of Cambridge. Sie war Stipendiatin der Deutschen Studienstiftung und erhielt das prestigeträchtige Fox International Fellowship (2017-18) an der Yale University. Johanna ist Mitherausgeberin des Special Issues „Towards a Social Psychology of Precarity” (in Zusammenarbeit mit Geetha Reddy und Clare Coultas) und hat ihre Forschung im Journal of Social Issues, dem British Journal of Social Psychology sowie dem Sammelband To Exist is to Resist: Black feminism in Europe publiziert.
