Chris White is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow with the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity. His recent research has focused on Chinese Christianity in Southern Fujian and how this is being remembered today. He is author of Sacred Webs: The Social Lives and Networks of Minnan Protestants, 1840s-1920s (Brill, 2017) and has published articles in Twentieth-Century China, Studies in World Christianity, Ching Feng, and other journals.
