Fabian Cremer studied Art History and Art Education in Frankfurt and Vienna. From 2011 to early 2012 he headed the IT Department 'Research' of the Institute for Art History at Frankfurt University, where he designed the image database in addition to the supporting of research projects. Since early 2012 he has worked at the SUB Göttingen in the fields of research data management and digital research infrastructures.

Fabian Cremer has been working at the MPI MMG within the Göttingen Digital Humanities collaborative research project, where he focussed on data workflows for archiving and sharing, solutions for archiving HD video and the concept of a virtual research environment.
