Tania Pagotto

Curriculum Vitae

Tania Pagotto is a PhD Candidate at the University Ca’ Foscari of Venice. She graduated in Law from the University of Padua, discussing a dissertation titled «The Legal Status of Established Religions. Freedom of Conscience in England and Israel». She spent a period of research at the Centre of Law and Religion in Cardiff (2014/15) and an exchange period in Brussels (2012/13 – LLP-Erasmus).

She is currently working on the topic of conscientious objection, with a comparative legal approach. Her interests include also general issues on comparative public law and human rights, with emphasis on religious accommodations, the jurisprudence on Art. 9 of the European Convention on Human Rights and discrimination law.
