Stefan Rech

Curriculum Vitae

Stefan Rech studied cultural anthropology, sociology and literature at Johann-Wolfgang Goethe University, Frankfurt am Main (Master of Arts, passed with distinction). After an internship at the department of science, planning and evaluation for the „international organization for migration” (OIM) in Geneva he engaged himself as a freelance trainer, fieldworker / researcher, lecturer and author.

In 2000 he was Co-Founder of the „Institute for intercultural mediation and conflict resolution“ (Imikon) further on working in the field of conflict resolution mainly for non-profit organizations. From 2002 to 2007 he was consultant and pedagogical collaborator in a regional project for violence prevention programs, mediation and democratic school development. At the Government Institution for Teacher Instruction „Amt für Lehrerbildung“ (AfL ) he worked as trainer, advisor and facilitator for school development programs. Since 2007 he is coordinator and trainer for a peer learning project in Hesse.

Together with Katharina Borberg and Karina Goldberg Stefan Rech acted as an assistant in the project “Diversity and Integration in the City of Frankfurt”, led by Regina Römhild and Steven Vertovec.
