Ms Ferati-Sachsenmaier joined the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in October 2015. In addition to her current position at the Max Planck Institute, she holds the position of a lecturer (wiss. Mitarbeiter) at the Institute of Sociology, Göttingen University.

Her research interests include: postwar reconciliation processes, peacebuilding in politically contested territories, and global civil society.
