Flora Ferati-Sachsenmaier received her doctoral degree from the Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS) in 2015. In her doctoral thesis, she investigated the roles of reconciliation agents in promoting interethnic reconciliation processes in postwar Kosovo, with specific focus on the ties of these actors to transnational forces.

Her research interests include: postwar reconciliation processes, peacebuilding in politically contested territories, and global civil society.
