- Monika WOHLRAB-SAHR is Professor of Cultural Sociology at the University of Leipzig (since 2006). From 1999 to 2006 she was Professor of Sociology of Religion at the same university. She did her habilitation on “Conversion to Islam in Germany and the United States” at the Free University of Berlin in 1998, where she worked as an assistant professor from 1992 to 1999. In 1996 she was a visiting scholar at the University of Berkeley, California. In 2007/8 she was Fernand Braudel Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy.
