Prof. Dr. Sören Petermann

Sören Petermann was a research fellow at the institute from 2008 until 2013 and was working on the interdisciplinary research project "Diversity and Contact". Currently Sören holds the Chair of Sociology / Urban and Regional Studies at Ruhr University Bochum. His research interests concern effects of sociospatial contextual conditions on social well-being and social coexistence, in particular trust-based exchange in personal networks and causes and effects of this form of social capital. During his stay at the MPI MMG he will collaborate with the DivA project, conducting data analysis and preparing publications.
