Dr. Eloisa Harris, 2021-2023
Curriculum Vitae
Eloisa Harris is now at the University of Lausanne. She was a post-doctoral researcher at the department for Socio-Cultural Diversity. Her research focuses on the politics behind immigration and social policy reforms in western Europe. Prior to joining the MPI-MMG, Eloisa was a doctoral researcher at the University of Bremen (BIGSSS). She studied Political Science, Philosophy and Economics in Warwick, Vienna and Zürich.
In
her work within the “Diversity Assent in Urban Germany” project (DivA),
Eloisa uses survey data from Germany to understand societal attitudes
towards diversity and immigration, in particular, whether social class
and political participation underly dynamics of preference polarisation.
In other projects, she explores how and why political parties debate
conditional access to the welfare state, in particular with regards to
different groups of immigrants, and the effect of such politicisation on
policy reforms in western Europe.
