Prof. Dr. Aigul Beymisheva

Curriculum Vitae

Aigul Beymisheva is a guest in 2024. Aigul was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She commenced her academic journey at Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi in 2004, specializing in Sociology for her Bachelor's degree. From 2008 to 2010, she pursued a dual course of study, concurrently earning a Master's in Sociology from al-Farabi Kazakh National University and a Bachelor's in Law from Turan University, marking her second undergraduate qualification.

From 2010 to 2014, Aigul pursued her Ph.D. in Sociology at al-Farabi Kazakh National University. During her doctoral studies, she took charge of an international research project investigating private household survival strategies in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Titled "Strategies of Private Household Survival in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan: A Comparative Analysis of Urban and Rural Areas," the project was funded by the Volkswagen Foundation, Germany, with its findings published under the title "When Salary is Not Enough."

Since 2023, she has held the position of Professor at Narxoz University. Her research interests revolve around social standards of living, urban studies, urban processes, and the efficient utilization of human resources in small cities.
