Samantha Strohmenger, M.A., is a research partner of the Max Planck Research Group “Identity, Migration and Blackness in Europe”. She holds a scholarship from Hans Böckler Stiftung. She is pursuing a PhD on the topic of “Becoming Black as an identity forming moment in the housing of Black asylum seekers” at the Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Tuebingen.
