Jingyang Yu received her B.A. in German Language and Literature Studies from the Communication University of China in Beijing, and her M.A. in Religious Studies from Humboldt University in Berlin. With a thesis on language socialization among second-generation Chinese immigrants in Berlin, she was a doctoral student in the department before completing her Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology at Utrecht University in October 2019. From December 2019 until May 2021, she has been a Post-doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Religious Diversity.
