Dr. Mireia Bolíbar Planas
Curriculum Vitae
Mireia Bolíbar Planas holds a PhD in Sociology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2014). She conducted her PhD at the Sociological Research Centre on Everyday Life and Work and the Institute for Labour Studies, at the Sociology Department of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. During her studies, she also developed her research as a visiting scholar at the Trinity College of Dublin and at the Mitchell Centre for Social Network Analysis of the University of Manchester. She was afterwards a postdoc at the Research Center on Inequality and Social Policty (SOCIUM) and the Institute for Sociology of the University of Bremen. She is currently working at the Sociology Department of the University of Barcelona.
Her research interests are in the field of social research methodology, particularly social network analysis and mixed methods. She is also interested in the topics of social and political participation, as well as in the sociology of work and the life course.
She was collaborating with the CitiDiv project of the MPI as a methodologist in the analysis of local governance networks.
