Andrea Brabete

Andrea Brabete was a pre-doctoral fellow at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Faculty of Psychology). Her thesis focuses on the influence of Romanian migrants’ health status and its relationship with gender, acculturation and personality. She belongs to the Psychological, Gender and Health Styles Research Group lead by Dr Pilar Sánchez, which from a biopsychosocial view, focuses on introducing gender perspective and exploring different areas of research including women migrants’ health. Andrea holds a master degree in Women’s Health and in Immigration, Refugee and Ethnic Relations. She has taught undergraduate-level courses, mainly Differential Psychology.
Andrea has been awarded a scholarship of the Prince of Asturia program She has been working with Prof. Steven Vertovec and the International Working Group on Medical Diversity for 2 months.
