Prof. Gill Green (University of Essex)

Gill Green is a Medical Sociologist who has been researching social aspects of long-term illness since the early 1990s conducting research with people living with a range of long term conditions. She is the Director of the National Institute of Health Research, Research Design Service for the East of England. Her research interests include the social experience of long term illness, especially HIV/AIDS, mental illness including substance misuse and MS, and stigma related to long term illness.  In addition, she has a long-standing interest in medical diversity.
