Karolina Barglowski (TU Dortmund)

Curriculum Vitae

Karolina Barglowski obtained her degree in Sociology from Duisburg University in December 2009. In her final thesis, she used grounded theory to study reorganization processes within the field of “social services” and examined why these have been accompanied by less conflict potential than similar processes in the industrial and economic sectors.

After completing her degree she spent several months at the University of Torun (Poland) as a visiting scholar. She carried out fieldwork in Krefeld as part of the MMG’s “DivCon” project and taught at the University of Duisburg-Essen in the field of “qualitative methods”.
