German-Kazakh Science Day
Swetlana Torno represented the Max Planck Society during the two-days event to foster scientific exchange and cooperation
On 12-13 October, Swetlana Torno participated at the German-Kazakh Science Day in Almaty representing the Max Planck Society and our institute. The event was jointly organized by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAN RK).
The aim of the event was to provide a platform for exchange between research and educational institutions in Germany and Kazakhstan, to showcase existing cooperation and initiate new projects. Swetlana Torno took part as a delegate from the Max Planck Society alongside representatives of other German and Kazakh institutions such as the Helmholtz Association, Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh-German University, and Central Asia Sustainable innovation Bureau (CASIB), to name just of view.
