Helen Baykara-Krumme holds a PhD in Sociology from the Free University of Berlin and was a fellow of the International Max Planck Research School LIFE at the MPI for Human Development in Berlin. In 2017 she completed her habilitation at Chemnitz University. Her research interests include family change and aging processes in migration and minority contexts, migrant transnationalism, integration and dissimilation processes and methodological issues in migration research.
