Virginie Guiraudon holds a Ph. D. in Government from Harvard University where she focused on explaining the evolution of the rights granted to foreigners in France, Germany and the Netherlands since 1974. Her main interests still lie in the comparative politics of immigration and citizenship and also include European integration and transnational mobilization. Virginie Guiraudon currently co-convenes the RN Political Sociology of the European Sociological Association and on the programme committee of the Council for European Studies and sits on the board of Comparative European Politics and Cultures et conflits.
