Fatma Seda Kara
Curriculum Vitae
Fatma Seda Kara was a guest from September 2021 until June 2023. She is a PhD candidate at Maltepe University,
Istanbul. Her PhD research is about Family Migration from Turkey to
Germany. In her research, she will focus on the adaptation process of
the high socio-economic status families migrated from Turkey to Germany.
She is awarded a short-term grant by German Academic Exchange Service
(DAAD), and one-year grant by Turkish Scientific and Technological
Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) to conduct her research as a guest
researcher at the Max-Planck-Institute for the Study of Religious and
Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology
at Marmara University, and a master’s degree in International Marketing
Management from Leeds University.
