Alexei Matveev has been working as a software engineer in the Department of Socio-Cultural Diversity since 2011. Prior to his position at MPI-MMG, he spent over 15 years working in the areas of graphic design, web development, and semantic web. At the institute, he was responsible for interactive data visualizations as part of the ERC-funded "GLOBALDIVERCITIES" project led by Prof. Vertovec. Most recently, Alexei was involved in the development of DATARAMA as Lead Technical Developer. His work has been exhibited in multiple showcases on new media, science, and culture, including the "Media of Mobility" at the ZKM Media Museum in Karlsruhe. His interests include Augmented Reality and Tangible Interfaces. Currently, his focus is on the development of further exploratory data visualizations for the institute's research projects.
