Stefan Kroll is now at Goethe University Frankfurt.
Stefan Kroll was a postdoctoral research fellow within the Max Planck Fellow Group “Governance of cultural diversity – socio-legal dynamics”. Before joining the institute, Stefan was Postdoctoral
Fellow at the Munk School of Global Affairs in Toronto in 2011/2012. As
PhD-Student, he worked at the Max Planck Institute for European Legal
History in Frankfurt from 2008-2011. Stefan holds a Doctoral degree in
social sciences and was awarded the Friedrich-Christoph-Dahlmann-Award
in 2011 and the Otto-Hahn Medal of the Max-Planck-Society in 2012. His
research is focused on the emergence of world society, law and society,
and the history of international law. His publications include a book on
the adaption of international law in China (Nomos, 2012) and the edited
volume “Law on Stage” (Meidenbauer, 2011). Stefan has published various
articles, book chapters, and reviews in international journals and
edited volumes. At the institute, Stefan will conduct research
on “Religious minority protection as a narrative to justify
international interventions”.
