Curriculum Vitae
Alex Wafer is now Lecturer at the School of Geography, Archaeology and Environmental Studies, University of the Witswatersrand.
Alex Wafer was a postdoctoral research fellow at MPI-MMG. As part of the GlobaldiverCities project, he examined super-diversity in public spaces in a neighbourhood in Johannesburg, South Africa. He holds a PhD in Geography from Open University, Milton Keynes. The subject of his thesis was 'Informality, Infrastructure and Spaces of Citizenship in Post-apartheid Johannesburg'. His research interests include public services, education and governance. Alex has worked as a researcher at the Centre for Applied Legal Studies, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg.
