Sabrina Axster

Curriculum Vitae

Sabrina Axster is a doctoral student at the Johns Hopkins University. Formerly she was a doctoral student at the Division of Global Affairs at Rutgers University where she also worked as a teaching assistant. Prior to this, she served at the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs as a member of the core team preparing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

Sabrina holds an MSc in International Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and a B.A. in Media and Cultural Studies and Politics from the University of the West of England in Bristol, UK. She has lived and worked in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and South Africa and as part of her Master's program, she conducted independent field research on the dynamics between micro- and macro-level development initiatives in Nairobi, Kenya. Ms. Axster is a Global Ethics Fellow for the Future at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs and a member of the Sigma Iota Rho Honor Society for International Studies.
