Project design and methods
The ZOMiDi project investigates changes in civil society organisations by employing a multi-method approach with qualitative case studies as a main component. The four cases will be conceptualised as organizational cases, with the federal offices as the starting point of the empirical analyses. The data collection entails documents, individual and group interviews, participant observation and mapping methods for the study of the organizational structure, the reconstruction of organizational change and the mapping of the organisational field. In addition to the analyses at the federal level, local case studies will be conducted in order to gain deeper insights into selected projects, events or local member organizations. The organizations will be involved on a regular basis.
