Swetlana Torno at Khujand State University, Khujand, Tajikistan

Swetlana Torno introduced her research project on gendered experiences of mobility of the elderly in Tajikistan to researchers and students of the Department of History, Ethnography, and Religious Studies at Khujand State University. The lecture set off a collaboration between Swetlana Torno and researchers of Khujand State University, most notably the ethnographer Muhiddin Faizulloev, and discussed initial observations and hypothesis pertinent to gendered mobility of the elderly in Tajikistan.
