Prof. Dr. Da Wu

Da WU ist Professor für Kulturanthropologie und Ethnologie, Direktor des Center for the Study of Ethnic and Cultural Diversity, Minzu University of China. Professor Da WU ist der Autor von Ethnicity and the Construction of Ethnic Identities: An ethnographic study of the Ersu of Sichuan (Beijing: Minzu Press, 2010), Social Change and Cultural Identities: A case study of ethnic Yi in Liangshan, Sichuan Province (Shanghai: Xuelin Press, 2008). Er hat mehr als 50 Artikel in Chinesisch und Englisch veröffentlicht. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Ethnologie der Ethnizität, Linguistische Anthropologie, Religiöse Anthropologie, Anthropologie der Ernährung, Ethnologie, Yi und Ersu (Tibetisch).

Seit Mai 2013 kooperiert Prof. WU mit dem MPI-MMG  zusammen. Im Projekt "Research Program on South-East Asia" arbeitet er eng mit Prof. van der Veer zusammen.
